Minor Update – bug fixes plus Perceived Effort field

The first minor release consisting of bug fixes is now live, hopefully addressing all of the issues that have cropped up so far. There is one bug with the Garmin upload that I’m not sure I’ve got to the bottom of, but I’ve added some more verbose logging so at the very least I should be able to troubleshoot it properly if it happens again.
If you do encounter an error then please feel free to let me know about it either by commenting here, or by emailing mail@mycycling.co.uk.
The one visible update with this release is a new field which I’ve added by request called ‘Perceived Effort’. It will accept any whole number up to 100, but if you want to use this field you can use your own scale, whether it be "1 to 5", "1 to 20" etc. Hopefully it will provide a viable alternative to Ride Intensity to those of you who find the 3 options for that a little bit limiting.
If you have any suggestions of your own then don’t be afraid to let me. The whole rationale behind the Favourite Fields section is to offer flexibility in terms of the fields offered without cluttering up the interface.

Thanks for that info Nick. More by luck that judgement it looks like your file will now get parsed with the changes that I've made to address a bug that someone else was experiencing. However I'm not sure it's going to be much use to you as it's aggregating them all into one ride.
Uploading multiple rides is an interesting one - it's definitely something I want to support but it will need a bit of thought as to how best to integrate it into the interface, which at the moment is really geared towards a workflow of logging one ride at a time.

Hi Pete, just to let you know i had the upload error again when uploading from my Garmin. The only 2 times it has happened to me have been when i have more than one ride to upload. Not sure if thats the problem, but thought would post this comment in case it is. cheers mate, Nick
